These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SnapWords (“we”, “our”, “us”), a vocabulary-learning platform available at snapwords.net. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

SnapWords lets teachers build vocabulary lessons and share them with students through a set of browser-based games and virtual “worlds”. Teacher accounts require an email address; students do not need accounts and play using a nickname or teacher-provided roster.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
Accounts are intended for use by teachers, tutors, and educational staff.

3. Plans & Billing

SnapWords offers a Free plan and two paid subscription plans, billed monthly:

Teacher — $5/month: 5 classes, unlimited lessons, 3 worlds, 30 OCR scans/month.
School — $20/month: 20 classes, unlimited lessons and worlds, 150 OCR scans/month.

Paid subscriptions are billed and processed by our payment provider, Paddle.com, who act as the merchant of record for these transactions. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account’s billing page; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Anyone who signs up for SnapWords during our free beta period (before 31 August 2026) receives permanent unlimited access to SnapWords at no charge, for as long as we operate the service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the service for any unlawful purpose, or to upload content that is abusive, obscene, or infringes others’ rights.
Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
Collect personal information about students beyond what the service itself provides.

5. Content

You retain ownership of the lessons and vocabulary content you create. By uploading content, you grant us a licence to store and display it as needed to operate the service for you and the students you share it with.

6. Termination

You may stop using SnapWords and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

7. Disclaimer & Liability

SnapWords is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of SnapWords after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
